I'd like to teach the world to sing... Welcome to my website. I'm a musician based in North Wales with a particular passion for bringing people together to sing. I believe in the powerful and transformative nature of communal singing and over the last decade, I have lead choirs at festivals, in workplaces, schools, cathedrals, pubs & football stadiums, with an emphasis on fun and inclusivity. As Ella Fitzgerald said, 'the only thing better than singing is more singing!' I also have given talks and workshops at The Do Lectures in West Wales and at the Creative Mornings Summit in New York.
Currently, I direct several open-access choirs across Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales with a specialism in a cappella (unaccompanied) singing. My choirs perform a mixture of traditional and contemporary music from around the world in beautiful three/four part harmony - guaranteed to make you feel good and put a smile on your face. In addition to my weekly choirs, I run afternoon drop-in singing sessions and one-day workshops across the UK.
Over the past fifteen years I have worked in a number of education, community and healthcare settings, making links with a wide range of organisations, schools, festivals and choirs in the UK, Ghana and South Africa. As a performer, I am a member of contemporary folk quartet, the Rough Island Band and the all-male a cappella troupe, The Spooky Men's Chorale, with whom I have performed at major European Festivals and on BBC Radio 2 & 3.
